Arnold S. Pyle

Arnold S. Pyle, 77, of Glen Ellyn, IL passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove, IL, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be held at a later date in Sioux City, IA.

Arnold was born on Sept. 24, 1934, in Sioux City, IA to James and Mildred (Stillian) Pyle. He was united in marriage to Patricia Foster in 1953, in Sioux City, IA.

He graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, IA and attended Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, IL. He served in the United States Air force eight years from 1953 to 1962. He was a system analyst for International Harvester and retired from Trans. America.

Survivors include his wife Patricia. A son, Arnold F. Pyle and wife (Peggyann Knauf) of Glen Ellyn, IL, and a daughter, Cheryl L. and husband (Pete O.) Ingle of Wheaton, IL., and eight grandchildren. Sister-in-law; Roberta (John) Peterson, FT. Wayne, IN., brother-in-law; Elgin J. (Kathleen Lynch) Foster, of Prior Lake, MN., and sister-in-law Irene Pyle of Sioux City, IA, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Pyle and two sisters, Dorothy Silzer and Mavis Pyle.
