Helen Mary Thorsen

I'm very great full for the opportunity to have Helen in our lives.
She was an indendent woman before her time . She showed us the way to be what you what to be and think the way you want to think.
I will miss her .
I want to thank Marshon , Tom and Angie for giving so much to Helen to help her have the best last years she could have.
We all enjoyed the results. We love you Helen

Helen and I graduated from Wausau High in1937.We knew each other but our relationship grew when we both worked for a department store and we became sweethearts that lasted thru 1941 and the war. My service was in Europe and lasted from February, 1942 till November 1945. We kept in touch all that time. The Thorsens moved to Chicago and I visited them and Helen came up to Wausau also. W ork, time and distance apart took their toll and

My service was in Europe and lasted from February, 1942 till November 1945. We kept in touch all that time. The Thorsens moved to Chicago and I visited them and Helen came up to Wausau also. W ork, time and distance apart took their toll and we drifted apart. I married in 1947 and had three children and my wife passed away in 2008. I got word that there was a way to find people on the internet and I thought of that family and surprised Helen with a phone call and had to convince her it was me, after 63 years. I flew to Chicago in April, 2009 and we had a very memorable reunion, very wonderful. I saw her another time and travel again became our enemy. We made phone calls often, the last one on her birthday. Cards were sent. My Valentine card reached her on her last day.
Marshon, I loved them all so say "So Long, Honey" for me. Bill

Remarkable lady. Indpendent, thoughtful, smart and caring.
I am grateful that I had the opportunity to work with her. She was always well
prepared for every appointment and prepared well for her death. Thanks
to Helen's careful planning and the loving attentive care of her niece Marshon Helen had a beautiful life in her final years. May she rest in Peace.
