Richard J. Morava, 83, died Feb., 15, 2012 in Woodstock, IL. with his family by his side. Born on Dec., 29, 1928, in Chicago, he was the middle brother of three boys. Each preceded him in death. They were raised in Cicero attending Morton High School before Dick graduated from the University of Illinois' School of Pharmacy. He finished his education with a Masters of Public Health Degree from Benedictine University. He followed his father into the family pharmacy business in Cicero as co-owner with his older brother George, for eighteen years. He finished his career working at Hinsdale Hospital for another twenty. During this time he called LaGrange Park home with his wife.
A loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife, Patricia (married 61 years), daughter Kristine, sons Richard and Peter. Kris and her husband Pasqual Antonacci, grandchildren Giavonna, Kristina, Angelica, Nico, and great grandson Emmanuel, along with numerous cousins and friends.
Richard and Patricia were regular churchgoers attending the United Church of Christ, LaGrange Park, meeting many wonderful life long friends. Upon retirement (1994) Dick and Pat settled north to Woodstock, IL were they enjoyed their home for another twenty years. They have attended the First Presbyterian Church of Woodstock since, meeting a new set of dear friends.
His hobbies included square dancing, fishing and hunting, woodworking, and playing bridge. Dick was an active member of the Masons and the Enterprise Club.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb., 25th at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Woodstock, 2018 N. Route 47. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made "in memory of" to either the Shriners Hospital for Childern-Chicago, 2211 N.
